Who We Are

We are a multi-denominational group of Christians who are passionate about your youth group's growth and leadership development. We specialize in planning and leading real, relevant, challenging, and powerful missions and wilderness adventure experiences in the Cumberland Mountains of Eastern Tennessee (Foothills of Appalachia). These experiences are designed to meet your objectives and your youth group's specific needs. It's what we are referring to when we say, "More than missions...More than adventure." It's what we do...It's what we've been doing for over twenty-seven years.

What Makes Us Unique

1. Single-Group Experiences- We focus on group unity and growth by never mixing different youth groups. This platform provides a safe arena to practice leadership and allows your group to set your own goals and objectives.


2. Leadership Development- Using our "Show, Help, Let" leadership development process, we provide the hands on training for your youth to step up to the plate and become legitimate leaders. We hand over real responsibility and ownership of activities to youth, and they will make real decisions-facing the benefits and consequences of their choices. Coupled with daily strategic debriefings, leadership development is not just talked about at Confrontation Point...it's trained, practiced, experienced, and learned.


3. Outdoor Adventure- All of our mission and wilderness experiences include at least one full day of outdoor adventure activities such as rock climbing, rappelling, whitewater rafting, caving, and backpacking. Plus, you will get to enjoy nature by camping in high quality tents in one of the beautiful state parks or campgrounds of Tennessee. Leaving behind the creature comforts of home and facing the elements will be challenging, eye opening, refreshing, and rewarding.


4. Spiritual Challenge- Our spiritual development plan for the week-a new theme each year-is woven into devotional time, daily activities, and worship services that will challenge and give your group a fresh look at their faith.


5. Exceptional Programming- We provide three unique programs with different emphases and desired outcomes. These programs are fully customizable to meet your group's needs and objectives.

What We Provide

Confrontation Point is a "full service" missions organization. As such, we provide…

• Extensive pre-trip preparation materials for yourself, adults, and youth participants.
• Dedicated, individual care and preparation assistance from our professional full-time staff.
• Free three day youth leader and chaperone orientation at our facility each spring.
• A minimum of two trained CP staff will be with you the whole week to manage logistics and lead program activities—You won't have to mess with the nuts and bolts of the experience! (We handle tents/lodging, community camping gear, menu/food, materials, worksite preparation, schedule, programming, first aid, devotions, adventure activities and much more.)
• Accident/injury and sudden illness insurance for each program participant.
• A web page to share your experience.
